Welcome to Simon Wood's golfing website. Simon is based at Yelverton Golf Club, 8 miles North of Plymouth and can offer golf tuition for everyone. Simon is creating one of the biggest teaching and junior academies in the South West and hope that you find this website useful and informative.

                                                     ABOUT ME

I started playing golf at the age of ten at St Mellion International in Cornwall and played at a high standard before deciding to turn professional. My main passion is teaching and especially watching my clients improve their game.

I qualified as a PGA Professional in December 2004, having started my professional career at the Selsdon Park Hotel and Golf Course in Surrey in 2001. I decided to move back to Devon in 2003.

As well as being a qualified PGA Professional, I also have a Higher National Diploma in Golf Management and a Diploma in Sports Psychology. I have been a professional at Yelverton Golf Club since March 2003.
